    Description

Situated on the Etihad Campus. The National Squash Centre is one of the great legacies of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, undoubtedly one of the premier squash facilities in the world. The Centre provides 6 squash courts that can convert from singles to doubles courts at the touch of a button and one glass-walled show court with new bowled seating - providing a unique atmospheric viewing experience, as well as home to England Squash and a training facility for Team England. Courts open daily, with access for all. The Regional Arena provides both indoor and outdoor athletics, both available for anyone to use when the venue is not booked out for an exclusive event. Outdoor is an 8 lane, 400m track with an in-field long jump, javelin, discus and shot provision - with covered seating for  up to 6,500 spectators. Indoor is a 4 lane, 200m running track and a 8 lane, 60m sprint track, with indoor jumping pit and indoor throwing too - everyone is welcome, from complete novices to elite athletes. This facility is part of a unique collection of community and elite facilities governed by MCRactive, a not for profit organisation established and overseen by Manchester City Council. It is operated by Better under the MCRactive brand.
