Walker Activity Dome is located on the east side of Newcastle and was affectionately known locally as “The Dome’. The centre has a long and positive history in the heart of Walker, dating all the way to November 1965 when it first opened and it is still going strong. We are a family friendly centre that offers a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities. We have a multi-sensory room which is Sen/Autism friendly, a youth club that runs every Friday night and multiple birthday party packages. Our modern gym features a great range of cardio and resistance machines and now the Strength gym has been reallocated upstairs next to the Cardio gym to make it more accessible. We have an instructor led fitness programme, that includes group cycle, power pump, pilates, yoga and much more. Gym membership starts from just £22.95 a month with no long term contract. If you choose to play indoors or outdoors, the centre has a variety of activities in which you can get involved, from indoor 5 a-side football, trampoline, gymnastics, badminton, squash, table tennis plus a variety of team sports. Our outdoor facilities includes all weather 3G pitches, ten 5-a-side pitches, three 7-a-side pitches and an 11-a-side pitch, with spacious changing facilities.
